Alan Hancock - Biography
Born and raised in the north east of England, Alan initially trained as a designer maker of furniture at Northumbria University. He then went on to postgraduate studies at Central St Martins in London. While head of design at The Interiors Group, Alan was design lead on projects for clients such as Roche Diagnostics, Bank of Montreal, FA Premier League and Committee of European Banking Supervisors (CEBS).
In 2007, a desire for a change of lifestyle led Alan and his wife Sarah to emigrate to Canada. During his time at Omicron, he was responsible for BCLC's Vancouver office, Coast Capital Savings Help Headquarters and latterly Kabam Vancouver.
Alan's training as a craftsman has instilled in him the firm belief that the design process consists of equal parts creativity and planning.
When he's not designing great places to work Alan can be found hiking Vancouver's north shore or taking road trips in the pacific north west with Sarah and their dog Milo.
